Aruba, Flo and Lizzy played hard after Guido left for Colorado. We are going to miss that sweet boy, but he probably won't miss us much. I think Buck is going to spoil him ;-). Down to 2 girls here. Flo will probably stay here and become a show dog. Lizzy could be shown or be an excellent agility dog. You should see her leap onto things (where she doesn't belong).

Shipping pups
After a hectic week of phone calls, e-mails, trip to the vet, and 4 am wake up to get to the airport, Ramone successfully made it to his new home in Miami! Sorry to see him go, but his new mom was very happy to have him arrive safely. She says he is "gorgeous". The remaining 3 pups are enjoying their play time with visitors, as well as with their mom, uncle Kix and uncle Toby. (Kix is my daughter's Aussie, Toby is a dalmatian that is technically their cousin).

Time flies!
Wow, it's been 2 weeks since I posted. Alot has happened since then. Sally (now Katie) and Mack (now Hero) have gone to their new homes. The five remaining puppies went to a graduation party where they were THE hit. Lots of kids to play with. They also went on a ride to grandma and grandpa's house where they were able to experience more new things. 5 dalmatian puppies can be a bit overwhelming at times, so sometimes only 1 or two are allowed to play in the house at a time. It is alot of fun to watch them with toys and with each other. They are full of energy!

Growing fast
Hard to believe they are 7 weeks already. They are alot of fun. Exploring everything. Playing hard, and sleeping hard.

Worn out!
Mater
Mater has left with his new family, Tyler and Ashley. Sorry to say, I don't think his siblings missed him at breakfast! Lots of rain in Iowa today. Not fun for 7 week old dalmatian puppies, having to spend the whole day in the house.

Hearing test
Great news! Only one puppy that is deaf in one ear. That is Lizzy. All the rest can hear in both. They were tested with the BAER equipment-little electrodes are inserted under the skin on their head to transmit the brainwaves when a sound transmitter is placed in the ear canal.
I suspected that Lizzy was unilateral hearing. When I call her from a distance, she has to look around to see where my voice is coming from. THEN she comes running ;-). Most uni's learn to compensate for their lack of hearing in one ear, and it's much harder to tell in adults.

More pictures!
Most of these puppies are going to be show dogs. Some may still be available to serious show homes.

Road trip!
We took a road trip to a friend's house tonight. Got to play in a new yard and a different house. Puppies traveled very well, only fussed for the first 6 miles! Got some new pictures, will get more up tomorrow night.

Outdoors
Today we spent alot of time outdoors, running around the yard, meeting the barn cats, chewing on things puppies probably shouldn't be chewing on. We left the pups for a few hours this evening, and when we got home, WOW, they wanted to play! They were so excited to see us, we stayed up a bit later than we should have to play with them. Hopefully they will sleep in a bit in the morning. Had visitors today, and expecting more tomorrow. Lots of new people to lick and nibble on. Hope to get more pics up tomorrow night.
