Puppy playtime

Brodie's mom (Luigi)

Hero's family (Mack)

Katie's (Sally) family and Lizzy

Time flies!

Wow, it's been 2 weeks since I posted. Alot has happened since then. Sally (now Katie) and Mack (now Hero) have gone to their new homes. The five remaining puppies went to a graduation party where they were THE hit. Lots of kids to play with. They also went on a ride to grandma and grandpa's house where they were able to experience more new things. 5 dalmatian puppies can be a bit overwhelming at times, so sometimes only 1 or two are allowed to play in the house at a time. It is alot of fun to watch them with toys and with each other. They are full of energy!

Growing fast

Hard to believe they are 7 weeks already. They are alot of fun. Exploring everything. Playing hard, and sleeping hard.

Worn out!

Luigi (Now Brodie) has gone to his new home. The other 7 were exhausted after having new people to play with for several hours. They are so sweet while asleep. Rain finally stopped, so they got a bit of outside time running around in the tall grass. Played with Uncle Kix, and chased mom in circles.

Mater

Mater has left with his new family, Tyler and Ashley. Sorry to say, I don't think his siblings missed him at breakfast! Lots of rain in Iowa today. Not fun for 7 week old dalmatian puppies, having to spend the whole day in the house.

Lizzy

Cute face!

Lizzy-the showgirl

This girl knows how to stack!

Hearing test

Great news! Only one puppy that is deaf in one ear. That is Lizzy. All the rest can hear in both. They were tested with the BAER equipment-little electrodes are inserted under the skin on their head to transmit the brainwaves when a sound transmitter is placed in the ear canal.

I suspected that Lizzy was unilateral hearing. When I call her from a distance, she has to look around to see where my voice is coming from. THEN she comes running ;-). Most uni's learn to compensate for their lack of hearing in one ear, and it's much harder to tell in adults.

More pictures!

Most of these puppies are going to be show dogs. Some may still be available to serious show homes.

Road trip!

We took a road trip to a friend's house tonight. Got to play in a new yard and a different house. Puppies traveled very well, only fussed for the first 6 miles! Got some new pictures, will get more up tomorrow night.
